Sarah Irwin's Obituary
Funeral Services for Ms. Sarah Eloise Irwin, 88 of Pell City, will be today Tuesday, July 17th at 2 pm at Limbaugh Chapel C.H. Church with Rev. Billy Epperson officiating. Burial will follow at the adjoining cemetery.
Ms. Irwin gloriously went to be with the Lord on July 15, 2012. She was a resident at Golden Living Nursing Home in Pell City for the past two years and a lifelong resident of Talladega. She is preceded in death by her parents Ada Bigbee Irwin and Walker Preston Irwin. She is also preceded in death by 7 brothers and sisters. She leaves behind her sister Esther Caldwell and a host of adoring nieces and nephews.
Eloise was a school teacher, Sunday School Teacher, a supervisor at Palm Beach for 42 years, and an avid gardener. She chose not to marry and instead dedicated her life to the service of others. Her life was also dedicated to her Lord, Jesus Christ. She was really an angel in human form. She was a beloved member of her Church, teaching the Junior Class for over 30 years. Many an adult can say they learned a lot of the Bible from her. She was a playwright whose Christmas plays were about for many years, and many a child can remember being an angel in Sis. Eloise's plays.
Pallbearers will be David Pugh, Jesse Brown, Dennis Waites, Matthew Jones, Robert Irwin, and Larry Wallace. Honorary pallbearers will be Doug Lewis, Ronnie Minor, and Allen Miller.
Eloise's family would like to give a special thanks to the staff and nurses and Golden Living Nursing Home in Pell City. They took such good care of Eloise while she was there. We would also like to thank Dr. Helms for his concern and care. They treated Eloise just like family and we know that they all loved her. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Limbaugh Chapel Building Fund at P.O. Box 6352, Talladega, AL 35161.
