Wren Waites' Obituary
Funeral Services for Mr. Wren Waites, 88 of Talladega, will be today at Cherry Street Church of God at 11 AM with Rev. Franklin Walters and Rev. John Waites officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends are welcome to begin arriving at 10 AM. Visitation will be held Monday night at Talladega Funeral Home from 6 to 8 pm. Mr. Waites passed away Saturday at his residence.
Mr. Waites was a dedicated member of Cherry Street Church of God for 63 years. He was recognized by the Church of God General Assembly in 2007. He served as the church clerk/treasurer for over 20 years. He was a postal carrier for Talladega post office for over 35 years.
He is preceded in death by his wife Helen Rosenbaum Waites, and one son Andrew Wren Waites. He is survived by his daughter Claudia Bostwick (Jerry), his son Sam Waites (Kathy), one grandson Sawyer Waites, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Stanley Cook, Arlen Otwell, Frank Otwell, Sr., Franklin Otwell, Jr., Cole Waites, and Tyler Waites. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mr. Waites' nephews and members of his Sunday School Class.
Talladega Funeral Home will direct the services.
