Talladega-Mrs. Willie Marlene Haynes, 84, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024. Mrs. Haynes was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her husband: Rev. John Haynes; 1 daughter: Debra Charlene Haynes; her parents: Coley and Margaret Strickland. She is survived by 2 daughters: Beverly Wyatt (Leslie), Sherry Haynes; 1 brother: Bruce Strickland (Maria); 1 sister: Earlene Hall; 2 grandchildren: Deborah Smith (Eric); Gordon Hammonds III; 1 great grandchild: Natalie Smith. The family will receive friends for visitation in the Talladega Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, from 12:00noon-2:00pm. The service will follow in the chapel at 2:00pm with Rev. Jeff Wilson officiating. Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Methodist Church Cemetery in Ashland, AL. with Clifton Hall, Ryan Hall, Jordan Hall, Gordon Hammonds III, Bruce Strickland and Eric Smith serving as pallbearers. Talladega Funeral Home will direct the service.
