Mr. William Lester "Billy" Smith Jr.'s Obituary
Funeral Services for Mr. William Lester “Billy” Smith, Jr., 51 of Ragland, will be held Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016 at 7 PM at Talladega Funeral Home. The family will receive friends beginning at 5 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Smith passed away Saturday, Jan. 2 at Princeton BMC in Birmingham.
Mr. Smith retired from the Ragland Water Works Board after numerous years of service. He was the kind of man who never met a stranger and was well loved by all his family and friends.
Mr. Smith is survived by his wife Crystal Schall, his daughter Ruby Smith; his sons: William Smith III (Allison), John David Schall (Kathryn), and Daniel Jacob Schall; brothers: Gary Smith(Wendy) and O.Z. Smith; sister: Lisa Smith; Grandchildren Shelby and Kason and a host of others; 9 nieces and nephews, and 5 great nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his father- and mother-in-law, Jacob and Betty Schall, and his brother-in-law John P. Schall.
The family would like to recognize the following honorary pallbearers: Lee Bearden, Gary Clines, Andy Clines, Brian Bunt, John David Schall, Victor Fluharty, William Smith, Timothy Lyons, Daniel Schall, John P. Schall, and Jason Jones.
