Mrs. Verna Lee Turner's Obituary
Talladega-Verna Lee Turner, 76, passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2021. She lived in Talladega most of her life was Baptist by faith and attended Dawson Memorial Baptist Church. She loved her family and was a lifelong care giver. She is preceded in death by her parents, Hadron and Willie Mae Mitchell; 3 brothers, James, Marvin, and Wesley Mitchell; 3 sisters, Ida Mae Shirey, Idell Evans and Pauline Green. She is survived by her husband, Noel David Turner; 3 sons, Jeff Turner (Michelle), Chris Turner (Tonia), Allen Turner (Rachel); 2 daughters, Stephanie Carrouth (Lynn), Heather Carruth; 1 brother, George Mitchell (Elaine); 1 brother-in-law, Buddy Evans; 2 sisters, Rose Mary Shulch (Michael), Arleen Mitchell; 10 grandchildren, Stephen Carrouth, Adam Carrouth, Aaron Carrouth (Molly), Jessica Pickard (Randy), Amanda Travis (Scott), Autumn Hall, Bobby Parkerson, Luke Carruth, Anna Claire Turner, Reed Turner, and 6 great grandchildren. The family will accept friends on Sunday, November 14, 2021, from 1:00PM-3:00PM for visitation in the Talladega Funeral Home Chapel with the service following at 3:00PM in the Chapel with Rev. Sam Walker officiating. Pallbearers will be Aaron Carrouth, Adam Carrouth, Stephen Carrouth, Randy Pickard, Dennis Shulch, and Scott Mitchell. Talladega Funeral Home will direct the service.
