Mrs. Susie Kissic, 78, passed away on Tuesday, March 04, 2025. Mrs. Kissic is preceded in death by her husband: Jerry Kissic; 2 sisters: Patricia Sides, Martha Gortney; parents: James and Nellie Pelt. She is survived by 1 son: Gary "Bubba" Kissic; 2 daughters: Lynn Holmes, Gina Sims (Johnny);8 grandchildren: Kalie Mitchell (Michael), Chase Holmes (Mary Alice), Ashley Herrington (Daniel), Corey Powell, Natalie Strickland, Kacie "Sissy" Baiz (Daniel), Mikey Kissic, Cheyenne Kissic; 11 great grandchildren: Kaydance, Analyn, Jemma, Seven, Madi, Millie, Baylor, Rosie, Kyren, Karson, and Krimson. Mrs. Kissic was also anticipating the birth of two future great grandchildren. She loved her best friend: Louise Johnson whom she considered her sister.
Mrs. Kissic never met a stranger. She loved her grandchildren and spending time with them. She enjoyed making clothes and smocking dresses. She loved her dogs "Lulu" and "Bella" and going to the lake.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 11:00am-1:00pm in the Talladega Funeral Home Chapel for visitation. The service will follow in the chapel at 1:00pm with Norman Duncan officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Munford with Corey Powell, Dylan Strickland, Devin Strickland, Trent Sims, Daniel Herrington, and Chase Holmes serving as pallbearers. Talladega Funeral Home will direct the service.
