Talladega-Stonewall “Bob” Jackson Crawford, 87, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022. He was a proud member of the NRA. Charlton Heston was his president. He loved to bird and rabbit hunt and raise the bird dogs and beagles to do it with. He did welding for the major companies In this area and the sawmill industry around the world. He was a top welder in the state during his lifetime. Above all he loved spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wade Hampton Crawford, and Ida Burdette Burkhalter Crawford; 3 brothers, Zenus Willard Burkhalter; Demos Nerom Burkhalter; and Deraxel Holloway Crawford; his sister, Edna Crawford Royster; wife of 62 years, Kay Frances Crawford; son, Darren Robin Crawford; and grandsons, Daniel Blake Wade and David Wayne Wade. He is survived by his daughter, Kathy Wade (Larry); grandchildren, Glenn Wade (Sharon); Jessica Bigbee (Wayne); Ryan Crawford (Janet); Christopher Crawford; Cody Crawford; Courtney Mitchell (Casey); great grandchildren, Madden Wade; Brody Bigbee; Kaiden Crawford; Darren Crawford; Scott Hill; Sean Hill; Samantha Hill; Christopher Bigbee; and Kayla Bigbee; 2 great great grandchildren, Alice Hill; and Casper Hill. The family will have a memorial service at a later date.
