Mrs. Sherry Maria Hammonds Manning's Obituary
Funeral Services for Mrs. Sherry Maria Hammonds Manning, 67 of Talladega, will be Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014 at 12:30 PM at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Pell City with Monsignor Sexton officiating. Burial will follow at Wewoka Church Cemetery in Talladega. The family will receive friends Friday night from 6 to 8 pm at Talladega Funeral Home. Mrs. Manning passed away Wednesday night at RMC in Anniston.
Mrs. Manning was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Church in Pell City. She was a volunteer for Talladega Rescue Squad, and she worked for AOD Federal Credit Union in Oxford for several years. The family would like to express their gratitude to AOD for the support they showed to Mrs. Manning while she was working for them as well as after she was not able to work. As well as showing her emotional support, AOD also sponsored Mrs. Manning in Relay of Life.
She is preceded in death by her parents Gordon and Grace Hammonds. She leaves behind her husband John Manning; her two children John Manning, Jr. and Wendy Struzik (Ron); five grandchildren Brett Manning, Nick Manning, Josh Struzik, Tayler Struzik, and Allyson Struzik; one great granddaughter Kira Speaks; her brother Gordon Hammonds, Jr. and two sisters Lee Hay and Rebecca Hall.
The following men will serve as pallbearers: Brett Manning, Nick Manning, Josh Struzik, Emory Hay, Ryan Hall, Josh Hall, and Jordan Hall.
