Mr. Shandon E. "Shan" Gallahar's Obituary
Funeral Services for Shandon E. “Shan” Gallahar, 41 of Talladega, will be Thursday, Nov. 5, 2015 at 1 PM at Talladega Funeral Home with Bro. Ray Camp officiating. Burial will follow at Lackey Cemetery in Munford. The family will receive friends Thursday beginning at 12 PM at the funeral home. Shan passed away Sunday night, November 1, 2015.
Shan was employed by Helix Industries of Lincoln. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and all around outdoorsman, and a dedicated Auburn football fan. He graduated from Munford High School and went on to attend Gadsden State Community College. He was a dedicated and loving husband and father, and will be dearly missed by all he leaves behind.
Shan leaves behind his wife Rena Gallahar; his 4 children: Hannah Gallahar, Maci Gallahar, Landon Gallahar, and Breana Upchurch; his parents Donald and Wandra Gallahar; his brother Corey Gallahar and children Natalee and Aubree; his sister Jill Austin (JD); and his grandmother Edna Gallahar.
Pallbearers will be Robert Fergison, Barry Gates, Jason Williams, Frank Mayo, Jason Headrick, Even Stephens, Leonard Carr, Scott Brasher, and Jeff Daniels.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Shandon’s name at First Bank of Alabama, formerly First National Bank, with locations in Talladega, Munford, and Lincoln.
