Sande'a Michelle Barber's Obituary
Pell City-On Saturday, September 28, 2024, Sande’a “Sinny” Michelle Barber was unexpectedly called to her eternal home. Our family and the world lost an incredible daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Sande’a was born on February 15, 1973 to Angie Lorene Bowers and James Michael Barber. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama. She lived in Talladega, Alabama; Fort Walton, Florida; Trussville, Alabama; and in Birmingham, Alabama throughout the years until she eventually settled in Pell City, Alabama several years ago. She graduated from Talladega High School in 1991. After high school she went to cosmetology school and became a nail technician. It was her true calling, she was passionate about her job but she really loved her clients and co-workers. She adored the beach and spending time with her nieces, Kallie and Kinley, who were her world. She left this earth knowing that she was loved beyond measure, appreciated, cherished, and most of all she knew that she would see us all again someday in Heaven. Sande’a is survived by her mother: Angie Bowers; her father: James Michael Barber (Carolyn); 4 brothers: Brett Barber (Elyssa), Michael Barber (Kelsey), Caleb Barber, Lee Parker; 1 sister: Tiffany Weaver; 4 nieces: Kallie Strange, Kinley Strange, Hannah Parker, Ellery Barber; 1 nephew: Peyton Barber, and a host of other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her grandparents: Rev. James G. and Lorene S. Barber; Ulua Mable Ragsdale; her stepfather: Jonathan Blair Weaver; and her step grandparents: Bill and Joada Weaver. Please join us to celebrate and honor the life and legacy of Sande’a on Sunday, October 13, 2024. Visitation will be at Talladega Funeral Home starting at 2:00pm and the celebration of life service following at 3:00pm with Pastor Grant Nardi officiating. Please wear your favorite pink clothing and come as you are because she would want everyone to be comfortable and casual, it is in this way we will all celebrate her life and legacy the way she would have wanted. Talladega Funeral Home will direct the service.
