Roy H. Denton's Obituary
Talladega- Roy H. Denton, 71, passed away Sunday June 24, 2018. The family will be receiving friends at Talladega Funeral Home, Tuesday June 26, from 6 p.m. The graveside service will be Wednesday June 27, at Midway Memory Gardens at 11 a.m. Rev. Daniel Posey will officiate. Mr. Denton was a veteran of the U.S. NAVY and honors will be observed during the funeral service. He was Baptist by faith and a member of Childersburg Friendship Baptist Church, as well as a member of the UAW Teamsters. He loved fishing, working on boats and motors, Braves baseball, and Auburn football. Mr. Denton was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lois Denton; brothers, Jackie Denton, Ray Denton, and Paul Denton. He is survived by his wife, Alice Denton; son, Timothy (Tina) Denton; daughters, Amanda (Clinton) Bradshaw and Jamie (Dakota) Peoples; sisters, Nadine Whitney and Faye Denton Belcher; and grandchildren, Amber Denton, Katlyn Saffold, Rachel Saffold, Tristan Bradshaw, Gabriel Bradshaw, and Lexi Bradshaw. Pallbearers will be friends and family. Talladega Funeral Home will direct the services.
