Randy Smith's Obituary
Funeral services for Mr. Randy Wayne Smith, 52 of Talladega, will be Monday, July 30 at 2 pm at Talladega Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Ryals, Bro. Andy Mims, and Rev. Charles Stone officiating. Burial will follow at Midway Memory Gardens. The family will be receiving friends Saturday night from 6 to 8 pm and Sunday from 1 to 4 pm at the funeral home. Randy passed away Thursday night at the Palliative Care Unit at UAB.
Randy was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather "PawPaw." He was a consistent pillar of stability for his family, often providing advice, guidance, and work opportunities for his family and neighbors. Randy valued time with his family and Alabama football.
Randy leaves behind his loving wife of 28 years Kathy Smith, his daughter Melody Ferrell (Derrick), his son Billy Irvin (Amy Pressley), grandchildren Dylan Ferrell, Dalton Ferrell, Austin Irvin, and Haley Pressley, one sister Jean Trammell, four brothers Roger Smith (Patty), Craig Smith (Renee), Jeffrey Smith (Toni), and Larry Smith (Sharon), a loving mother-in-law Jewel Reeves, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Jack and Velma Smith, father-in-law Gene Reeves, brother-in-laws Ricky Trammell and Larry Reeves, and his nephew Timmy Dean.
The following men will serve as pallbearers: Lonnie Reeves, Mike Reeves, Brandon Smith, Dylan Ferrell, Daniel Trammell, Eric Trammell, Chris Smith, and Michael Smith. The family would also like to recognize Scotty Smith, Lynn Smith, Brian Smith, Justin Smith, and Kevin Smith.
