Preston Stone's Obituary
Funeral services for Mr. Preston Stone, 78 of Talladega, will be Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at 10 AM at Talladega Funeral Home with burial following at Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Tuesday night from 6 to 8 PM at Talladega Funeral Home. Preston passed away Monday at Trinity Medical Center in Birmingham.
Mr. Stone was a lifetime musician who played many different instruments and enjoyed singing. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, brother, and uncle who devoted his life to his family and to his music. He is preceded in death by his parents Byron and Lillian Stone, two sisters, three brothers, two brother-in-laws, and his son Pat Stone.
He leaves behind his wife Opal Stone, three daughters Sharon King and Bob, Vicki Ramirez and David, and Debbie Carney, one son Dane Stone and Laura, one stepdaughter Sonja Evans and Sam, two stepsons Michael Holdridge and Donna and Stanley Holdridge and Rachel, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers. Talladega Funeral Home will direct the services.
