Phyllis Irwin Jones' Obituary
Funeral Services for Mrs. Phyllis Irwin Jones, 54 of Talladega, will be Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 1 pm at Limbaugh Chapel Congregational Holiness Church with Rev. Billy Epperson, Bro. Rick Simpson and Bishop Phillip Jones officiating. Mrs. Jones will lie in repose one hour prior to service time. The family will be receiving friends Friday night from 6 to 8 pm at Talladega Funeral Home.
Mrs. Jones, a lifelong member of Limbaugh Chapel, was very active in the Womens Ministries. She graduated from Talladega Academy, and then she attended Nunnely Community College in pursuit of a business degree. She was employed by Citizens BMC for 31 years where she worked as a pharmacy technician. Mrs. Jones was also a member of the Christian Motorcyclist Association.
Mrs. Jones is survived by her husband David Jones, three children Terrie Waites (Dennis), Johnathan Jones (Amanda), and Matthew Jones (Jessica), three grandchildren Payton McDonald and Zachary and Samuel Waites, her mother Ruth Irwin, and her sister Brenda Grantham. She is preceded in death by her father John Irwin.
Mike Gay, Coy Miller, Earl Barns, Scott McDonald, Robert Liner, and Phillip Epperson will serve as pallbearers. The family would also like to recognize Allen Miller, Robert Irwin, and Ricky Burk as honorary pallbearers.
Talladega Funeral Home will direct the services.
