Mrs. Patricia Ferguson Wade's Obituary
Mrs. Patricia Ferguson Wade, of Talladega passed away on March 20, 2025, in her home surrounded by her loved ones. Patricia was one of the founders of local southern gospel group, “His Grace.” She along with her sisters, daughter, husband and brother-in-law traveled all over Alabama and parts of Georgia spreading the gospel through song. Patricia sang her entire life and made such a difference in so many lives through her singing. Southern Gospel music will never be the same without her powerful, beautiful voice. Patricia spent her entire life in Talladega working and raising her family. She spent much of her life at West End Church of God but also found a home at Taylors Grove. Patricia loved being in church and was known to play a mean tambourine. She leaves behind her husband of 25 years, Phillip Wade. Her children, Kelly Roberson Abramczuk of Talladega, Amanda Roberson Haynes and Danny Haynes of Oxford, Aaron Wade of Friendswood, Texas and Carrie Beth Blount and her husband Jamie of Friendswood, Texas. She also leaves behind her grandchildren who she adored, Gracie Haynes and Paislie Haynes of Oxford, Levi Abramczuk of Talladega, Madison and Casey Goins of Lincoln, Caleb, Rachael and Joshua Blount of Friendswood, Texas, Lilly, Emma, Hannah, and Summer Wade of Friendswood, Texas and 4great grands. Her sisters, Connie Jones (Bill) of Talladega, Donna Smith (James) of Munford, brother-in-law, James Denton. Brother, Terry Wayne Langley (Gail) of Massachusetts. Mother-in-law, Becky Thomason of Oakman, Alabama and a host of nieces and nephews and cousins that she loved very much. She is preceded in death by her mother, Willie Mae Ferguson, sister, Glenda Denton, brothers, Willie and Edgar Ferguson, grandson, Lucas Abramczuk and nephew, Neal Ferguson. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 23, 2025, from 1:00pm-2:00pm in the Talladega Funeral Home Chapel for visitation. The service will follow in the chapel at 2:00pm with Rev. Ottis Graves and Rev. Doug Whaley officiating. Burial will be at Pine Hill Memorial Park with Levi Abramczuk, Gracie Haynes, and Paislie Haynes serving as love bearers and Danny Haynes, Jamie Smith, Terry Isbell, James Smith, James Denton, and Bill Jones serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are the Heartfelt Southern Gospel Group. The family is deeply grateful for the compassionate care and support provided by Shana and Marissa of Compassus of Pell City. And a special thank you to her niece Heather Wideman for caring for her in her final days. Talladega Funeral Home will direct the service.
