Ms. Patricia Ann Galloway's Obituary
Alpine-It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Patricia (Ann) Galloway was born on February 09,1941, to Melvin and Adelia Hurst. She passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2025, peacefully at her home. She lived a life marked by hard work, devotion to family, and kindness toward all who knew her.
Ann was employed with Barry’s Clothing Manufacturing and Georgia- Pacific. Even after retirement, her strong work ethic and love for people led her to continue serving her community at The Shack BBQ until her illness.
She found joy in cheering for her beloved Alabama Crimson Tide and rarely missed a chance to follow the Atlanta Braves, celebrating every win with the same spirited devotion she brought to life.
She is preceded in death by her husband: William Galloway; her siblings: Frankie Hurst, Jerry Hurst, Dixon Hurst and Connie Kirk; and her treasured granddaughter: Brooklyn Parker.
Ann leaves behind a legacy of love and strength. She is survived by 3 daughters: Genie Parker, Wendy McMeans (Richard), Jennifer Creamer (Justin). She is also survived by 3 brothers: Mickey Hurst (Maria), Rickey Hurst (Shirley), and David Hurst (Sheryl). Her grandchildren: Tyler Parker (Brantrilla), Bre’anna Twymon, Anslea Twymon (Erika), were a source of great pride as were her great grandchildren: Payton Adams, Mackenzie Parker, Landon Parker, Ruby Rose Hutchinson and her great-great grandchild: Braylen Parker.
The family extends heartfelt appreciation to caregivers Martha Cotton and Cathy Elston, whose steady compassion brought comfort in even the hardest moments. We are also deeply grateful to the nurses at Amedisys Hospice in Sylacauga for their tender care, guidance, and kindness throughout this journey. Their devotion will always be remembered with gratitude.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 04, 2025, from 11:30am-1:00pm in the Talladega Funeral Home Chapel for visitation. A service to celebrate her life will follow in the chapel at 1:00pm with Rev. Jon Adams officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of our mom.
Burial will be at Pine Hill Memorial Park with Tyler Parker, Landon Parker, Payton Adams, Bobby Langley, Colby Creamer, and Shaffer Griffin serving as pallbearers. Talladega Funeral Home will direct the service.
