I and my brother ,Tony were about 8 &6 when we first met our Uncle Nolan to be. He was dating our Aunt Loretta & we would hang around pestering them on their date in the sitting room! We would giggle & hide behind behind furniture, hoping to catch them kissing!!! He would give us pieces of gum to get us to go away! And that would work back then. If we did leave them alone for a bit, it wasn't for very long. But he was so kind & funny & very patient with us, so it was very easy to fall in love with him right away. Also, he was a very tall, handsome man, with beautiful blue eyes. Also we were very intrigued with him as he walked with a limp that he had received from an injury to his knee in the Korean War. And I don't believe he had been back home for very long either. So, he & my aunt fell in love, married & had 2 children, our very dear first cousins, Danny & Nancy. And of course, those first fond memories were only the beginning of so many more special ones that I/We all hold dear. He'll be forever dearly loved in our hearts.

Nancy, you know how much we all loved Nolan. He has always been so good to the O'Dell family, in good times and in bad times. He will be having one hell of a reunion in Heaven with all the Crump's and O'Dell's that have gone before him. Take care of yourself and know that he loved you so much and appreciated everything you did for him. Love you! Peggy and Roger Shambaugh
