Mozelle Davidson's Obituary
Funeral Services for Mrs. Mozelle Coker Davidson, 95 of Talladega, will be Saturday, September 17, 2011 at 2 pm at Talladega Funeral Home with Pastor David Bailey of Liberty Hill United Methodist Church and Pastor Tim Thomas of Munford Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Clay County Memory Gardens. The family will be receiving friends tonight from 5pm to 8 pm at Talladega Funeral Home. Mrs. Davidson passed away Thursday, Sept. 15, 2011 at her residence.
Mrs. Davidson, who was born in Clay County, AL on Sept. 22, 1915, had been a resident of Talladega for the last 53 years. She was a perfectionist seamstress who enjoyed making homemade quilts. She loved all her children, grandchildren, and family, and was an avid Alabama fan. She was a member of Liberty Hill United Methodist Church, and she enjoyed reading her Bible and had a wonderful testimony. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, and a great cook.
She is preceded in death by her son Bobby Jerrell Davidson of Childersburg, AL, her husband Sylvan S. Davidson of Talladega, AL, her parents Lee Roy and Ella Lynch Coker of Lineville, AL, her two brothers Thurman Coker and JB Coker also of Lineville, AL, and her three sisters Pebble Coker Lipham of Jackson, SC, Geneva Coker Johns of Lineville, AL and Vernell Coker Pettus also of Lineville, AL. She is survived by two daughters Susan Davidson Bean (Roy) and Carolyn Davidson Cooper (Gerald) both of Talladega, AL, two sons Charles Fletcher Davidson (Nell) of Mebane, NC, and Carlos Cornelius Davidson of Virginia Beach, VA, and eight grandchildren Roy Lee Bean III (Brandi), and Tara Bean LaClair (Bryan) both of Lincoln, AL, Kimberlee Brooke Heath of Talladega, AL, Robert Norman Davidson of Calera, AL, Valorie Jane Cooper of Talladega, AL, Gerald Wayne Cooper, Jr. (Mary) of Douglasville, GA, Christopher Channing Davidson (Debi) of Chesapeake, VA, and Michael Howell Davidson (Holly) of Virginia Beach, VA. She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren Christian Lee Bean, Paisley Joy LaClair, Emilee Brooke Davidson, Robert Ezekiel Davidson, Jacob Hunter Cooper, Lauren Nicole Cooper, Hayley Alexis Cooper, Austin Michael Davidson, Alexandria Nicole Davidson, Ryanne Channing Davidson, Samuel Drake Davidson, and Drew Parker Davidson, one sister Betty Coker Powell of Augusta, GA, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
The following men will serve as pallbearers: Lee Bean, Bryan LaClair, Wayne Cooper, Chris Davidson, Wilby Wallace III, and Russell Davidson. Talladega Funeral Home will direct the services.
