Mr. Mitchell Ray "Mickey" Gooden's Obituary
Funeral Services for Mr. Mitchell Ray “Mickey” Gooden, 71 of Munford, will be Sunday, January 24, 2016 at 2 PM at Talladega Funeral Home with Bro. Clyde Pettus officiating. Burial will follow at Alpine Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday night from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Gooden passed away Wednesday, Jan. 20, at Coosa Valley Medical Center.
Mickey was preceded in death by his parents Millard and Jessie Gooden, and a sister and brother. He leaves behind his wife, Wretha Gooden; his children: Nicola Ruggs and Manuel Gooden; step-children: Melissa Jennings, Sandra Thrower, and James “Jimbo” Williams; three brothers: Joe Gooden, Jerry Gooden, and Timothy Gooden; his sister Sue Thrower; 8 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren. Mickey retired from Walker Excavating after many years of service.
The following men will serve as pallbearers: Louie Irvin, John Jennings, Robert Smith, Alvin Thrower, Kevin Stephens, Adam Strong, Darrell Walker, Jr., and Lane Cleveland.
