Minnie Pardue Gable's Obituary
Talladega- Minnie Pardue Gable, 79, passed away January 1, 2019. Her family will receive friends on Thursday, January 3, 2019, at 1:30 p.m., at Talladega Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. in the Chapel. Rev Glen E. Horn will officiate. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. Gable was Baptist by faith and was a member of Mt. Ida Baptist Church. She was a member of the “Jack’s Breakfast Club” and looked forward to her daily adventures there. She liked to work word puzzles, watch Wheel of Fortune, and looked forward to her Wednesday hair appointments with Lou Nell Elkins. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 45 years, Roy Eugene Gable; parents, Elijah Pardue and Minnie Leola Pardue Horn and stepfather, Herbert Lewis Horn; brothers, Jesse Pardue and Elijah Pardue; sisters, Vinnie Lee Pressley and Vinnie Mae Horn. Mrs. Gable is survived by her son, Reggie (Jennifer) Gable; granddaughter, Kaleigh Gable; grandson, Brycen Gable; step granddaughters, Julianne Ward and Kaela Ward; sister, Dorothy (Dave) Kearley; 6 nieces, 3 nephews, and a host of great nieces, great nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews; as well as a special sister-in-law, friend and caregiver, Mayre Waites. Pallbearers will be Joe Gable, Edward Walker, Madden Wade, and Glenn Wade. Talladega Funeral Home will direct the services.
