Chad Carroll
The first memory I have of Chad was in my Brother Paul’s apartment that he shared with Mike. A cute kid. I liked him immediately. On this particular day, he was sitting at the small dining table doing his homework and my brother was helping him. He couldn’t have been more than 5 or 6 and they had a cute banter back and forth as Chad would rather be playing that doing homework. I can still see his wide smile and hear his hearty laugh.
We would end up spending quite a bit of time together as I also became close to Rhonda. I remember going to the beach with the crew after the unexpected death of my brother. It was a great get away from reality and there we built sand castles and played in the waves with Chad and Robbie.
After Meagn was born, Rhonda would ask me to keep Chad and Meagn whenever she worked. Chad was always a happy child and loved playing with the babies, Meagn and Josh. He never complained when asked to do something for the little kids. He enjoyed playing in the pool with them. He was an awesome big brother.
Unfortunately, I didn’t see him much after he got a little older as he moved away. I do remember that being a sad day. I wish I could go back to that time when everything was so simple and innocent. What a sweet child. I’m very sad to hear of his passing.
