Mrs. Mary J. Thrower's Obituary
Talladega-Mrs. Mary J. Thrower, 90, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2024. Mrs. Thrower is a native of Talladega, Baptist by faith and was a member of Coosa Valley Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents: Ike and Katie Johnson; husband: Allen Thrower; 3 sons: Paul, Lane, and Alvin Thrower; 2 brothers: Fletcher and Peter Johnson; 4 sisters: Emma, Iva Dean, Bobbie and Maudre Johnson. She is survived by her daughter: Katie Nabors (Buddy); 2 sons: Grady Thrower (Patsy), Sammy Thrower (Jeanette); 1 sister: Betty Tipton; 15 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, from 12:00noon-1:00pm in the Talladega Funeral Home Chapel for visitation. The graveside service will follow at 2:00pm at Coosa Valley Baptist Cemetery with Earl Crim officiating. Her grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Talladega Funeral Home will direct the service.
