Lincoln-Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Thornburg, 75, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2023. Mrs. Thornburg is preceded in death by her husband: Carl Edward Thornburg “Cooter”; mother: Margaret Christine Moon Thomas; father: David John Thomas; 2 sisters: Naomi Mullinax, Dorothy “Dot” Folsom; 6 brothers: Boyd Thomas, Shelby Thomas, Rayburn Thomas, Jerry “Mann” Thomas, Walter “Dobby” Thomas, and Charles Thomas. She is survived by her son: Timothy Shane Thornburg (Brandi); 2 daughters: Kristie Yvonne Thornburg, Terri Suzanne Thornburg; 8 grandchildren: Taylor Thornburg, Cody Thornburg, Kaylin Thornburg, Dalton Thornburg, Davon Coleman, Shay Coleman, Dylan Cofield, Jaden Cofield; and great grandchild: Brantley Shane Thornburg. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 3, 2023 from 6:00pm-8:00pm in the Talladega Funeral Home Chapel for visitation. The funeral service will be on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 3:00pm at Blue Eye Baptist Church with Rev. Jackie Morgan officiating. Pallbearers will be Cody Thornburg, Davon Coleman, Dalton Thornburg, Jaden Cofield, Dylan Cofield, Matthew Conville, and Micah Barnett. Talladega Funeral Home will direct the service.
