Mary Ann Farmer's Obituary
Talladega- Mrs. Mary Ann Farmer, 73, passed away Tuesday July 24, 2018, surrounded by her loving family and friends. The family will be receiving friends on Friday July 27, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Talladega Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 2 p.m. in the Chapel. Reverend Glenn Edmonds will officiate. Burial will be at Pine Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. Farmer was a lifelong resident of Talladega. She was Baptist by faith and attended Northside Baptist Church and later Hepzibah Baptist Church. Mrs. Farmer was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved working in her flower shop and flower garden, and especially her roses. She loved teaching her students at AIDB, where she retired, and received a chair for 25 years of service. She was a member of the Teacher’s Association and National Education Association. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Ray Farmer; daughter, Tiffany Farmer Flowers; grandson Joshua Farmer; and parents, Hoyt and Estelle Walker. Mrs. Farmer is survived by her son, Steve (Beth) Farmer; brothers, Edward Walker and Fiancée, Mayre Waites, and Adrian (Karen) Walker; grandchildren, Autumn Farmer and Ashleigh Farmer; and was loved by her family and many friends. Pallbearers will be Edward Walker, Rodney Walker, Tommy Simpson, Mike Farmer, Kevin Wallace, and Rawley Green. Talladega Funeral Home will direct the services.
