Mrs. Malinda "Linda" Ann House's Obituary
Munford-Mrs. Malinda “Linda” Ann House, age 74, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and quiet strength.
Linda was a native of Talladega and spent many years living in Tuscaloosa before making her home in Munford, where she lovingly lived with her sister, Lanette, for the past 14 years. She was the most loving, humble, and kind-hearted person—someone who saw beauty in everything and loved everyone she met. Linda truly loved her children, grandchildren, and sisters with all her heart.
She found great joy in talking on the phone with her family, taking road trips, and admiring the simple beauty of birds, butterflies, and flowers. Her gentle spirit, warm smile, and caring nature will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Calvin and Flossie Bates; her husband: Benjamin House, Jr.; her grandparents: Floyd and Grady Hayes; and her brothers: Danny Bates and Ricky “Grizzle” Allen.
She is survived by her sons: J.D. House and J.C. House (Dawn); her daughters: Teresa Rowe (Tony) and Rebecca Williams (Danny); her sisters: Judy Griffith and Lanette Camp (Gary Sanders); her dear friend, Bill Rainey; along with many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
The family will receive friends in the Cosby Funeral Home Chapel (formerly Talladega Funeral Home) on Sunday, January 11, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel. Pastor Jimmy Huggins and Jacob Smith will officiate. Burial will be at Winterboro Community Cemetery with Jacob Carroll, Joseph Camp, Dustin Sanders, DeWayne Ferguson, Jeff Madden, and Sean Stewart serving as pallbearers.
Cosby Funeral Home will direct the service.
