Mr. Lattie Otis Thrower's Obituary
Talladega-Mr. Lattie Otis Thrower, 77, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2024. Mr. Thrower loved to fish and cook. He also enjoyed watching westerns. He is preceded in death by his parents: Jake and Dolly Thrower, 1 daughter: Kathy Novotney; 5 brothers: Jake Jr., Ralph, Charlie, Roger, and Ray Thrower; 1 sister: Phyllis Pruitt. He is survived by his wife: Mary Thrower; 4 sons: J.L. Lovett, Dean Gochneaur (Mindy), Richard Lovett, and Cecil Lovett; 1 daughter: Beverly Lovett, 2 brothers: Bill Thrower (Belinda), James Thrower (Diane); 1 sister: Margie Header; several grand and great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 4, 2024, from 2:00pm-3:00pm in the Talladega Funeral Home Chapel for visitation. The service will follow in the chapel at 3:00pm with Rev. Robert Earl Sanders officiating. Burial will be at Refuge Baptist Church Cemetery with Robert Burns III, Christopher Mayfield, Brandon Mayfield, Corey Lovett, Matt Cook, and Aaron Smith serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Pete Thrower and Chris Thrower. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org). The family would also like to thank Diversicare of Oxford, AL. for the exceptional care they provided for Mr. Thrower in his final days. Talladega Funeral Home will direct the service.
