Captain Larry David Vincent's Obituary
Talladega-Ret. Capt. Larry David Vincent, 65, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2022. He was born in Tacoma, Washington then moved to Talladega, AL. in 1980. He started to work with the Kmart Corporation in Talladega then moved to several different locations with Kmart before joining the Talladega Fire Dept. After working his way through the ranks, he retired as Captain with almost 25 years of service. He enjoyed playing bluegrass and gospel music on the guitar and going hunting, fishing and playing golf. Capt. Vincent is preceded in death by his father, Ret. Lt. Col. Henry Eugene Vincent; and 1 brother, Gene Vincent. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Vincent; mother, Ludie Vincent; son, Loren Vincent (Jennifer); daughter, Alisa Huffaker (Billy); sister, Wanda Campbell (Bill); 4 grandchildren, Billy Huffaker (CJ); Collin Huffaker (Haley); Logan Vincent; and Lyndon Vincent; and 4 great grandchildren, Case Huffaker; Zoe Huffaker; Lukas Huffaker; Drake Huffaker. The family will accept friends on Sunday, March 20, 2022, from 12:00noon-2:00PM in the Talladega Funeral Home Chapel for visitation with the service following at 2:00PM in the chapel with Rev. Stephen Uptain officiating. Burial will be at Salem Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Alpine. Talladega Fire Department will serve as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Billy Huffaker, Collin Huffaker, Logan Vincent, Lyndon Vincent, Jason Falkner, Jeremy Falkner, Joshua Falkner, Jayden Falkner, Johnathon Faulkner, and Blake Fancher. Talladega Funeral Home will direct the service.
