Mr. Kenneth Lawson Gardner's Obituary
Mr. Kenneth Lawson Gardner, 73, of Talladega, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2026.
Lawson was born on April 8, 1953, in Talladega, Alabama, to the late Robert Gardner and Gladys Sims Gardner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Leslie Gardner, and his father-in-law, Johnny Brown.
Lawson was a devoted Alabama football fan who enjoyed playing golf, riding his Harley, and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Gardner; his daughter, JoAnn Green (Tommy); his son, Wayne Gardner; his sister, Sherry Tomlin; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Gardner and Casey King; his niece, Crystal Jones (Eugene); his nephew, Fred Williams; and many great nieces.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until 3:45 p.m. at Cosby Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 3:45 p.m. in the chapel at the funeral home. In accordance with Lawson’s wishes, cremation will take place after the service. Cosby Funeral Home will direct the service.
