Kathy Lynn Waites' Obituary
Talladega-Kathy Lynn Waites, 52, passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2018. The family held visitation with friends at Talladega Funeral Home on Friday, October 5, 2018, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The memorial service will be Saturday, October 20, 2018, at 6 p.m. at Cherry Street Church of God. Mrs. Waites was a member at Cherry Street Church of God for 30 years. She taught the early education children, was active in media, and the Lady Ministries Treasurer. She loved God and her church, but her pride and joy was her son, “Sawyer.” Mrs. Waites is survived by her husband, Samuel Waites; son, Sawyer Waites; father, Franklin D. Otwell, Sr; mother, Lavinia Edwards Otwell; brothers, Frank D. Otwell, Jr. and his wife, Debbie, and Arlen Otwell and his wife, Kim; and nephew, Franklin D. “Trae” Otwell, III and his wife, Sarah; and sister-in-law, Claudia Waites Bostwick and her husband William. Talladega Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
