Talladega-Mrs. Kathryn Doris Hutton, 77, passed away on Monday, May 06, 2024. Mrs. Hutton is preceded in death by her husband: Jerry Hutton; 1 son: Robert Hutton; 1 daughter: Janice Reeves; 1 granddaughter: Laura Haynes; 3 brothers: Jesse Simpson, Truman Simpson, Gene Simpson; 1 sister: Beatrice Bates. She is survived by 1 son: Jerry Hutton; 3 daughters: Jean Cotton, Earline Weathers, and Ann Bennett (Robbie); 3 sisters: Virginia Browning (Frank), Elsie Lightsey, Evelyn Lightsey; 13 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren. Mrs. Hutton loved to shop at thrift stores and spend time with her sisters. She loved playing horseshoes and gardening. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, from 6:00pm-8:00pm in the Talladega Funeral Home Chapel for visitation. The Funeral service will be on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at 1:00pm in the chapel at the funeral home with Rev. Keith Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery with Steven Hall, Taylor Hall, Richard Lightsey, Rodney Isbell, and Kevin Trotman serving as pallbearers. Reception will follow services at Jerry Hutton’s home at 190 3rd Ave North, Ashland, AL. 36251. Talladega Funeral Home will direct the service.
