Joyce A. Garrett's Obituary
Talladega- Ms. Joyce A. Garrett, 75, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2018. The family will receive friends Friday, February 9, 2018, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Talladega Funeral Home. The Memorial Service will begin at 3 p.m. in the Chapel. Ms. Garrett lived in Talladega all her life and was Baptist by faith. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy H. Stewart, and several siblings. Ms. Garrett is survived by her children: Susan (Dennis) Smith, Sheila (Rickey) Garrett, and her son-in-law, Timbo Stewart; brother, Carl “Sonny” Smith; sisters, Ruth New, Frances Smith, and Betty Hamilton; grandchildren, Jennifer (Chris) Jackson, Darrell (Tiffany) Garrett, Tyler (Coty) Smith, Kaitlyn Smith, and Dakoda Stewart; great grandchildren, Dawson and Addy Jackson, and Natalie, Colton, and Callie Kate Garrett. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to fund an IO Loves Project through Initial Outfitters to benefit the residents and staff of Talladega Healthcare Center. Donations can be mailed to: Jennifer Jackson, 472 Twin Ridge Circle, Lincoln, AL 35096. Talladega Funeral Home will be directing the services.
