Mr. Johnny M. Brown's Obituary
Talladega-Mr. Johnny M. Brown, 85, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023. Mr. Brown is preceded in death by his parents: Rev. Theodore “Buddy” Brown and Stella Brown; brother: Lonnie Richard Brown. He is survived by his wife: Betty Brown; 2 sons: Richard Brown (Karen), Jimbo Brown; daughter: Donna Gardner (Lawson); sister: Jewel McDonald; 3 grandchildren: Meredith Rudd (Daniel), Ashley Allen, Shea Camp; 3 great grandchildren: Madison Brown, Amelia Rudd, and Kye Rudd. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 from 1:30pm-2:30pm in the Talladega Funeral Home Chapel for visitation. The service will follow in the chapel at 2:30pm with longtime friend David Sparks officiating. The family would first of all like to thank God for the loving care and support from the immediate family, special friends Karen Hughs and Savanna Sands who helped the family tremendously and Dr. Clay Davis for his many years of taking care of Johnny. They would also like to thank, SouthernCare New Beacon Hospice for their wonderful care and compassion. They are thankful for all the staff, but especially Beth Gray, RN, Katherine Sikes, RN, and Lakerria Taylor, CNA, and granddaughter, Meredith Rudd. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Bemiston Methodist Building Fund, 179 Waites Rd. Talladega, AL. 35160. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers are David Sparks, Shea Camp, Tim Cooper, Jay Cooper, Larry Williamson, and Rodney Gaither. Talladega Funeral Home will direct the service.
