Talladega- Patricia “Joan” Edwards, 64, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2018. The family will receive friends at Talladega Funeral Home Wednesday, March 21,2018, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The funeral service will be Thursday, March 22, at 3 p.m. Burial at Stockdale Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Kory Burel will be officiating the service. Mrs. Edwards was preceded in death by her father, Herbert Calvin Clay; mother, Ailean Clay; and sister, Barbara Haney. She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Lamar Edwards; son, Tanner (Sonya) Edwards; daughters, Shannon Whitlow and Marla (David) Edwards; brother, Donny (Kathy) Clay; sister, Sheila (Don) Clay; grandchildren, Gabe Givens and Rainey Whitlow; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of beloved “Furbabies.” Pallbearers are Gabe Givens, Trent Haney, Chris Conn, Ray Harris, John Eric Robinson, Brian Ferguson. Honorary Pallbearers are Eric Hawkins, Benjamin Martin, Josh Martin, and Troy Haney. Talladega Funeral Home will be directing the services.
