Talladega-Mrs. Jewell C. Johns, 89, passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2023. Mrs. Johns is preceded in death by her parents: Leon and Ada Cole; husband: Arthur Johns; 1 sister: Wanda Crim, 1 step-daughter: Jane Cooley; and 2 grandsons: Brandon and Shandon Stephens. She is survived by her daughter: Tammy Johns; step-son: Kenneth Johns (Martha Harris); 5 grandchildren: Kimberly Strickland (Nathan); Kristen Lett (Wade); Chris Johns, Michael Johns, Tyler Johns; 7 great grandchildren: Zoey Strickland, Maisy Strickland, Eleanor “Ellie” Lett, Steven Johns, Nicole Johns, Olivia Johns, Mikko Johns. Mrs. Johns loved spending time with her family, especially her grandbabies. She loved cooking and gardening, also. The funeral service for Mrs. Johns will be Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at 11:30am in the Talladega Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Greg Tankersly officiating. Burial will be at Pine Hill Memorial Park. Pallbearers are Jeremy Gaither, James Hyatt, Tony Wright, Brandon McCormick, Waylon Lett, Wyatt Lett. Talladega Funeral Home will direct the service.
