Mr. Jere Alan Ferrell's Obituary
Talladega-Mr. Jere Alan Ferrell, 80, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2023. Mr. Ferrell was a native of Talladega. He was Pentecostal by faith and a member of Trinity Lighthouse Church of God. He enjoyed cattle farming, logging, and especially spending time with his grandchildren. He was an avid Alabama football fan. He is preceded in death by his parents: Henry C. and Evalyn Ferrell; 2 sons: L. Lee Ferrell Sr., Jere Lane Ferrell “Fig”; 1st wife: Margie S. Ferrell; and 1 brother: Jack Ferrell. He is survived by his wife: Patricia Cosby Ferrell; 1 son: Alan Ferrell (Evonne); 1 sister: Laney Ferrell; 1 brother: Wayne Ferrell; 4 grandchildren: L. Lee “Bubba” Ferrell Jr. (M.J.), Matthew Ferrell (Hannah), Mary E. Longino (Dylan), and Trinity Ferrell; 4 great grandchildren: Rylee Ferrell, Everett Longino, Lawson Ferrell, Grant Longino and a host of nieces and nephews and other family members. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 20, 2023, from 6:00pm-8:00pm in the Talladega Funeral Home Chapel for visitation. The service will be on Monday, August 21, 2023, at 11:00am in the Chapel at the funeral home with Rev. Stephen Uptain and Rev. Raymond Stewart officiating. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to Trinity Lighthouse Church of God in memory of Jere Ferrell. Talladega Funeral Home will direct the service.
