Sylacauga-Jeffery Lynn Parker, Sr., 42, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2022. He enjoyed spending time with family and studying the Bible. He is preceded in death by his father, Calvin “Red” Parker. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Marie Parker; wife, Melissa Parker; 4 sons, Jeffery Parker, Jr.; Nathan Parker; Elijah Parker; and Braxton Benefield; 2 daughters, Naomi Parker; and Maggie Griffith; 1 brother, Daniel Parker (Pamela); and 6 sisters, Karen Tinney (John); Mary Jones (Eugene); Barbara Meads (Paul); Stacy Meads (Jeffery); Cindi Parker (Michael Martinez); Mindi Parker (Steven Friday). The family will accept friends on Friday, April 22, 2022, from 6:00PM-8:00PM in the Talladega Funeral Home chapel for visitation. Mr. Parker will lie in state from 1:00PM-2:00PM on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Papertown Baptist Church the service will follow at 2:00PM at the church with Rev. Michael Frost officiating. Burial will be at Andrews Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Daniel Parker, Jeffery Parker, Jr., Nathan Parker, Elijah Parker, Braxton Benefield, Robert Fails, Jr., and Ricky Price. Talladega Funeral Home will direct the service.
