Talladega-Mr. James Clark Mowery, 89, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2024. Mr. Mowery was a native of Talladega and was owner and operator of Mowery Refrigeration. He is preceded in death by his parents: Acker and Annie Mowery; 3 sisters: Imagene White, Frances Sprayberry, Adelle Adams; 2 brothers: William Mowery, John Mowery. He is survived by his wife: Doris Mowery; 2 sons: Jeffery Mowery (Melanie), Randy Mowery (Dana); 1 sister: Shirley Barber (Bob); 5 grandchildren: Kayla Alldredge (Jordan), Noah Mowery, Kent Mowery (Leesha), Jacob Carter (Brook), Joshua Carter; 3 great grandchildren: Kingston Mowery, Scarlett Alldredge, Katherine Alldredge. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 13, 2024, from 1:00pm-2:00pm in the Talladega Funeral Home chapel for visitation. The service will follow in the chapel at 2:00pm with Chaplain Kenny Oldfield officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Ida Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery with Noah Mowery, Jordan Alldredge, Clint Pardue, Steve Adams, Kent Mowery and Jacob Carter serving as pallbearers. Talladega Funeral Home will direct the service.
