James Samuel Hughston's Obituary
Talladega- James Samuel Hughston, 92, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2017. Visitation will be held at Talladega Funeral Home, Saturday, August 19, 2017, from 12pm-2pm. A Graveside Service will follow at 2pm, at Hepzibah Baptist Church. The Rev. Danny Cotton will officiate. Mr. Hughston was born in Talladega, and lived in New York and California before coming back to Talladega in 1974. He served in the U.S. Army and Air Force. Mr. Hughston retired as a Maintenance Supervisor for General Electric Company. He was Baptist by faith and a member of Hepzibah Baptist Church. Mr. Hughston is survived by his wife, Sarah Hughston, of Talladega; son, Jerry (Annette) Hughston, of Vincent; daughter, Lisa Perdue, of Sylacauga; brother, Kenneth Hughston, of Talladega; sister, Mary Ann Edwards, of Talladega; 5 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 5 great great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be David Smith, Brandon Smith, Stanley Hughston, Nathaniel Atkisson, and Charles Osborne. Talladega Funeral Home will direct the services.
