Mr. James Robert Carlisle's Obituary
Funeral Services for James Robert Carlisle, 61 of Talladega, will be Monday, June 2, 2014 at 1 PM at Talladega Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Rutledge officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday night from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Carlisle passed away Saturday morning at the VA Medical Center in Birmingham.
Robert, a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, served during the Vietnam War Era. He retired from the Maintenance Dept. of AIDB. Robert was a member of Grace Community Church and also enjoyed visiting His Answer Ministries. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time with loved ones.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents Hazel and William Carlisle, and two brothers Wayne and Jerry Carlisle. He is survived by his two sons Mark and Joey Carlisle; three grandchildren Austin, Taylor, and Caden Carlisle; three sisters Nora Williams (Karey), JoAnn Moore(Buddy), and Darnell Huddleston (Alan); two brothers Johnny Carlisle (Lisa) and Billy Carlisle; aunts and uncles Linda, Sue, and Larry Carlisle; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The following men will serve as pallbearers: Scott Horn, Buddy Suddeth, Glenn Suddeth, Randy Boozer, Billy Ray Wills, and Terry Wills.
