Mr. Jackie B. Tyler's Obituary
Funeral Services for Mr. Jackie B. Tyler, 73 of Talladega, will be Saturday, Dec. 26, 2015 at 1 PM at Talladega Funeral Home with his nephew, Pastor Christopher Whitten, officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday beginning at 12 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Tyler passed away Tuesday, Dec. 22 at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham.
Mr. Tyler was born on Sept. 11, 1942 in Sylacauga to George and Hannah Tyler. He was a native of Sylacauga, and a resident of Talladega for the past 45 years. He served in The US Army for 10 ½ years, and then went on to serve another 10 ½ years in the National Guard. He was a Vietnam Veteran. After his military service, Mr. Tyler went to work at the Anniston Army Depot where he retired.
Mr. Tyler is preceded in death by his parents: George and Hannah Tyler, and his brothers: Gary Tyler, Donald Tyler, and Billy Tyler.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 51 years, Annie Tyler of Talladega; his daughter: Amanda Tyler of Mesquite, TX; brothers: Bobby Tyler and Roger Dale Tyler of Sylacauga; his sister: Linda Gail Roland of Sylacauga; 25 nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jason Vise, Michael Whitten, Doug Keefover, Teddy Tyler, Doyle Tyler, Tom Somers. The family would also like to recognize the following honorary pallbearers: Clayton Morrison, and Daniel Whitten.
