Mr. Jack Ray Ferrell's Obituary
Funeral Services for Mr. Jack Ray Ferrell, 70 of the Clairmont Springs area, will be Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at 3 PM at Clairmont Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Terry Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Clairmont Springs Cemetery. Friends are welcome to begin arriving at the church at 1 PM Wednesday. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 5 to 8 PM at Talladega Funeral Home.
Mr. Ferrell passed away Sunday August 14, 2016 at his residence.
Mr. Ferrell was born in Talladega, AL on January 11, 1946 to parents Henry and Evelyn Ferrell. He was a member of Clairmont Springs Baptist Church. He was a loving and faithful husband, father, and grandfather. He had many hobbies that he enjoyed, including taking care of his animals, hunting, fishing, and being outdoors, but his favorite was running his sawmill. He leaves behind his beloved dog, Bear.
Mr. Ferrell is preceded in death by his parents Henry Clifton and Evelyn Ferrell, and his grandson Cody Ferrell.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Shirley Ferrell; sons: Warren Ferrell and wife Mandy, and Derrick Ferrell; grandchildren: Dylan Ferrell, Dalton Ferrell, Zackery Haynes, Colby Ferrell, and Heather Ferrell; and his brother Wayne Ferrell and wife Joyce.
The following will serve as pallbearers: Heather Ferrell, Dylan Ferrell, Colby Ferrell, Zackery Haynes, David Thompson, Roy Thompson, Jr., Tony Thomas, and Christopher Williams. The family would also like to recognize Walter “Bo” Matson, Jr. as honorary pallbearer.
