Horace Lackey's Obituary
Horace Lackey, 78, of Talladega, passed away March 6, 2017. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 8, 2017, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral services will be March 9, 2017, at 1:00PM at Talladega Funeral Home, with Rev. Tommy Strickland officiating. A lifelong resident of Talladega, he retired from Wehadkee Yarn Mill after more than fifty years of service. He was an avid football and Nascar fan, and old car enthusiast. Mr. Lackey is survived by his nephews Jeffrey Barnett, of Talladega, John Wesley (Gina) McCann, of Pensacola, FL, Chris Lackey and his wife, of San Diego, CA, and John Lackey, of San Diego, CA; as well as several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodie and Oma Lackey, and his siblings. Talladega Funeral home will be directing the services.
