Mr. Herman "Buddy" Smith's Obituary
Funeral Services for Mr. Herman J. “Buddy” Smith, 76 of Talladega, will be Monday, August 22, 2016 at 2 PM at Talladega Funeral Home with Jason Hail officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday night from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Smith passed away Friday night, August 19, 2016 at UAB Medical Center.
Mr. Smith is preceded in death by his parents Thurman Sanford and Mary Leona Smith, his first wife Jo Nell Smith, his second wife Virginia Smith, his brother Gerald Smith, and his sisters and brother-in-law Margie Ferrell and Loreda Patterson (Frank).
He leaves behind his ten children: Tammy Blanchard (Scott), Sheila Watts, Tina Halbert (Tom), Stacey Smith (Michelle), Gwen Hail (Jason), David Smith (Teresa), Suzette Boggs (Mike), Ricky Smith (Lou Anne), Lita Abernathy (Herb), and Regina Thomas (Bernard); 32 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; sister-in-law Belva Smith; brother-in-law Jere Ferrell; and a host of nieces and nephews.
