Helen Dunn's Obituary
Funeral Services for Ms. Helen Brooks Dunn, 89 of Talladega, will be Monday at 12:30 pm at Talladega Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Howell officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Hill. The family will receive friends beginning at 11 AM – 12 PM at the funeral home. Ms. Dunn passed away early Friday morning at the Village at Cook Springs in Pell City.
Ms. Dunn is preceded in death by her husband Tony Dunn, her parents Harrison and Lillie Brooks, her brothers Benjamin Franklin Brooks and James Harold Brooks, and her sister Dorothy Brooks Lee.
She is survived by her children Faye Mintz (Charles), Kaye Waites (Dean), Mary Helen Webster (Jimmy), and Joe Dunn (Valeria Averitte), seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and two step-great grandchildren.
The following men will serve as pallbearers: Jim Davis, Jimmy Webster, Charles Mintz, Matt Hall, David Ellison, Tommy Lassetter, Nick Dunn, Dwayne Harrell, Bobby Pickett, and Tony Dunn. The family would also like to recognize the following honorary pallbearers: Charles Baggett, Gene Horsley, and Dean Waites. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Lakeside Hospice, Oasis Hospice, and the staff of the Village at Cook Springs.
Talladega Funeral Home will direct the services.
