Munford-Mr. Harvey Anderson Wright, 93, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024. Mr. Wright is preceded in death by his parents: Wallace and Esther Wright; 1 daughter: Patricia J. Wright; 3 sisters: Louise Todd, Pat Craig, Ruthie Allen; 4 brothers: Jack Dempsey Wright, Calvin Wright, Sammy Wright, Lindy Wright; daughter-in-law: Revonda Wright and her infant son, David. He is survived by his wife: Nancy J. Wright; 1 son: David Duane Wright (Linda); 2 daughters: Bonnie Wright Holman (Ronald), Betty Lynn Burns; 2 brothers: Randall Wright (Janette), Herschel Wright (Ann); 1 sister: Dorothy Henley (Henry); 6 grandchildren: Candy Mooney, Dusty Banks, Amber Ezekiel, Jeremy Holman (Heather), Christon Burns, Gracie Wright; 9 great grandchildren: Caleb Cooley, Ava Ezekiel, Jessica Armbrester, Luke Mooney, Stephen Embry, Alexis Elders, Taylor Elders, Haleigh Holman, and Jerrah Holman; 2 great great grandchildren: Madison Embry, Lawson Watts. Mr. Wright loved turkey hunting, spending time with his family and was an avid gun trader. He was the oldest member of his church which was the Munford Church of Christ. He served in the Army during the Korean war and was a retired firefighter from Anniston Ordinance Depot. Mr. Wright was a devoted husband, father and friend to an untold host, but most of all he was a devout Christian. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 29, 2024 from 1:30pm-3:00pm at Munford Church of Christ for visitation. The service will follow at the church at 3:00pm with Bro. Shane Clark officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Munford with Darrell Ingram, Evan Ingram, Dusty Dustin, Trey Gant, Andy Collett, Scott Burk, John Parker, and Noel Stephens serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Cheaha Mountain Turkey Hunters. Talladega Funeral Home will direct the service.
