Gwendolyn Whitten Barber's Obituary
Lincoln- Gwen Whitten Barber, age 70, passed away at her home in Lincoln surrounded by her family on August 22, 2017. She was born March 28, 1947 in Lincoln, Alabama, to Clarence and Bertie Lee (Odell) Whitten. She married Roger Barber on January 31, 1976. Gwen enjoyed life to the fullest through simple pleasures with family, church, and friends. She is preceded in death by her son, Patrick Heath Noah, and is survived by her husband; daughter, Donna Curvin; step-daughters, LaJean (Ronnie) Turner and Robin (Joe) Young; several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; sister, Becky Casaline; and brother, Gene Whitten. Family, friends, and others whose lives Gwen touched are invited to Talladega Funeral Home, Thursday, August 24, 2017, from 2pm to 3pm, to reminisce, grieve, support each other, and of course, just chat. Graveside service will follow at Hall’s Cemetery in Lincoln across from Refuge Church. The Rev. Jackie Bentley will officiate. Talladega Funeral Home will be directing the services.
