Talladega-Grover “Danny” Spurling, 66, passed away on Monday, February 14, 2022. Mr. Spurling enjoyed working on vehicles, fishing, and racing but most of all playing with his grandson, Daniel. He is preceded in death by his parents, Grover, and Mary Spurling; 1 son, D.J. Spurling; 5 brothers, Paul, Grady, James, Leslie, and Charlie Spurling; 1 sister, Joyce Spurling; and sister-in-law, Cathy Spurling. He is survived by his fiancé, Betty Lowery; daughter, Candace Spurling (Jerry Jones); 3 brothers, Tony Spurling; Benny Spurling (Sue); DeWayne Spurling (Helen); 2 sisters, Martha Holmes (Bobby); and Mary Spurling; his grandson, Daniel Taylor; several nieces and nephews, and his lifetime friend, Rita Spurling; The family will accept friends on Saturday, February 19, 2022, from 4:00PM-6:00PM in the Talladega Funeral Home Chapel for visitation with the service following at 6:00PM with Bro. Otis Graves officiating. Talladega Funeral Home will direct the service.
