Mr. Granville Gauldin's Obituary
Talladega-Mr. Granville Gauldin, 95 of Talladega Al. peacefully passed away Saturday, September 28th at the Cleburne County Nursing Home. Mr. Gauldin was preceded in death by his parents: Mr. And Mrs. John B. Gordon Gauldin; his wife of 58 years, Mavis Wingo Gauldin; 2 sons: Franklin Gauldin and David Gauldin. He was also preceded in death by all of his siblings: 6 brothers and 2 sisters.
Mr. Gauldin is survived by his 2 daughters: Sarah Hurst (Danny) and Karen McDonald (Dale); Grandchildren: Tonya Fomby (Mark), Dr. Jason Hurst (Alisa), Lisa Brown (Sterling), Marsha Wright (Eric), Harley McDonald, Heath McDonald (Leah), Garry Gauldin (Amber), and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 3, 2024 for visitation from 1:00pm-2:00pm in the Talladega Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will follow in the chapel at 2:00pm with Rev. Ivan Fuller and Rev. Tommy Strickland officiating. Burial will be at Eastaboga Baptist Church Cemetery with Mr. Gauldin's grandsons and great grandsons serving as pallbearers. Talladega Funeral Home will direct the service.
