Talladega-George William Franklin, 60, passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2022. He loved Alabama football, old cars and his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father: George Mack Franklin; mother: Gladys Wood; foster dad: Bob Strickland; brother: Nick Franklin; and 2 sisters: Sara and Mary Nell Franklin. He is survived by his wife: Connie Franklin; son: David Franklin; 2 daughters: Melinda Snead and Minnie Price (Christian); brother: Monroe Franklin; 2 sisters: Janice and Mary Frances Franklin; 3 grandchildren: Carlos Guzman, Patrick Hutton , Cory Hutton ; 3 great grandchildren: Alexis Hutton, Zachery Hutton, and Kadlyn Guzman. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 26, 2022 from 6:00Pm-8:00PM in the Talladega Funeral Home Chapel for visitation. The service will be Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 2:00PM in the Talladega Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Otis Graves officiating. Pallbearers will be Donny Langley, Jeromy Hodge, Josh Wilkerson, Harley Johnson, Walter Smith and Darvey Franklin. Talladega Funeral Home will direct the service.
