Mr. Gary Lathem Bramlett's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mr. Gary Lathem Bramlett, 79 of Talladega, will be Monday, Oct. 27, 2014 at 1 PM at Talladega Funeral Home with Bro. Russell Rodriguez officiating. Burial will follow the service at Evegreen Cemetery in Sylacauga. The family will receive friends Sunday night from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Bramlett passed away Saturday morning, Oct. 25, at his residence.
Mr. Bramlett was a well-known and highly respected member of the community. Many remember him from his days as grocery manager at Lovvorn’s Super-Valu, or from his many years at Buds and Wal-Mart. He also spent many years promoting local gospel groups and presenting the Sunday morning Gospel Showcase on WNUZ and Channel 7 in Talladega. He was a hard worker and was known to work two or three jobs at a time. He spent years working and managing at places such as McDonald’s, Baker Foods (Piggly Wiggly), and Bonanza. He loved to spend time with his grandkids and travel. Everyone who came into contact with Mr. Bramlett adored him and knew they could depend on him anytime they needed a helping hand.
Mr. Bramlett is preceded in death by his parents John and Frances Bramlett, and a brother Garland Bramlett, all of Eastaboga. He leaves behind his wife Barbara of Fairhope; one daughter Robin Cline (Roger) of Talladega; two granddaughters: Ashley Holdridge (Joey) and Samantha Johnson (Bradley); two sisters: Rita Bramlett of Talladega and Judy Stedham (Herman) of Tullahoma, TN; three great grandsons: Bravin Holdridge, Houston Parker, and Ashton Elkins, all of Talladega; Sister-in-law Ginger Clifton of Sylacauga; and special granddaughter Brittany Henry of Anniston.
Pallbearers will be: Christopher Elkins, Bradley Johnson, Joey Humphrey, Houston Parker, Mike Gilliland, Jeremy Parker, Jason Parker, and Roger Cline.
